Cooper Cougars switching up positions going into 2013
It is back to work on the field for Todd Moebes and the Cooper Cougar football team. Monday kicked off a fresh start for a Cougar team that brings back its starting quarterback and much of its offensive line.
Following a 9-3 (6-2 LSC) and early exit in the 5A Div. II playoffs last season, head coach Todd Moebes is shaking things up a bit in the first days of Spring drills.
He's looking for Cordell Dorsey to make a switch, from Linebacker to Safety.
"He's got some work to do to kind of fine tune his game there and he's gonna be seeing offenses from a little different perspective, but he's done great in his training up to this point and looking for him to get better every single day," Moebes said.
Dorsey, who's received college scholarship offers from four BCS schools, according ESPN's recruiting services, will be asked to step up with his play & as a leader.
"I mean, a lot of people need to step up cause we lost a whole lot of seniors and there's gonna be a lot of upcoming people that I really believe can make big plays. And we just looking forward to being the best defense in Texas," Dorsey said.
