The Little Caesars Pizza Bowl is no more, replaced Tuesday by the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit pitting Big Ten and ACC teams at the end of the season.

The game will be televised nationally by ESPN on Dec. 26.

The Detroit Lions reached agreement with Ford Motor Company's Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center as a title sponsor for the annual game. The Lions and the Houston Texans are the only NFL teams that run a college bowl game.

"With a national platform to showcase the city of Detroit as well as southeast Michigan football tradition, it was important for us to partner with an organization like Quick Lane who has a strong local and national presence," Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand said in an announcement. "We look forward to collaborating to institute a great bowl game tradition at Ford Field for years to come."

The postseason game in Detroit was also previously known as the Motor City Bowl.

The Big Ten and ACC will select representatives from their respective conferences for the game. The bowl previously had an agreement with the Mid-American Conference.
