Former Abilene High and Baylor golf standout Bill Allcorn fired a final-round 70 Sunday at The Golf Club at Southwind to finish tied for fifth at the Adams Golf Tour Southwest Kansas Pro-Am.

Allcorn shot a final-round 70 on the par-71 layout to finish the tournament at 8-under-par. Vilhelm Bogstrand shot a final-round 5-under-par 66 to finish at 13-under-par and win the tournament by one stroke over Shawn Jasper.

Allcorn's finish helped him move up to sixth on the tour's money list, but, more importantly, pushed him to third on the Player of the Year Points List with 2,270.0 points.

Lance Lopez leads the points list with 3,281.25 points, followed by Mark Walker at 3,173.75 points and then Allcorn at 2,270.0 points.  Allcorn's fifth-place was his third top-5 finish in 10 outings this season and fifth top-15 finish.

Allcorn carded two birdies on the front nine, one at the par-5 third hole and another at the par-4 eighth hole to finish the front nine at 2-under-par.  He parred the ninth hole and then posted eight straight pars on the back side before he finished with a bogey on the par-4 18th hole to finish at 1-under-par 70.

Allcorn will be back in action Aug. 14-17 at the Firekeeper Classic at Firekeeper Golf Club in Mayetta, Kan.
