Adidas signed Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard to the third-largest shoe and apparel contract in the NBA, a deal that could net the second-year start $100 million over 10 years.

"Adidas has been great to me over my first two seasons," said Lillard in a release. "I've had the opportunity to wear a lot of great product, help design special versions of shoes, be a part of TV commercials and travel the world with the brand. I'm excited for what the future holds for me and adidas."

Lillard signed to the Adidas stable last season, but joins Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard as the prominent faces of the shoe and apparel company. Rose signed a 13-year deal worth up to $185 million in 2012.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant, who represent Nike, own the highest-grossing shoe endorsement deals in the NBA.

Lillard also is drawing attention from fans and former players in a new postseason NBA television commercial of which the theme is "No rings."

Former All-Stars Karl Malone and Chris Webber are part of Foot Locker commercial. Neither won an NBA championship, thus the tone.

Lillard, 23, was a first-round pick in 2012. He was the rookie of the year last season and made his first All-Star appearance in February.
