WOMEN'S COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: McMurry falls in day two of NCCAA's

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -

The McMurry University volleyball team saw its season end at the 2013 National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament Friday evening.

At the conclusion of pool play, McMurry, Lee (Tenn.) University and Bethel (Ind.) College finished with identical 2-2 records, which forced a three-team playoff.

McM then faced Lee in a winner-take-all-set and dropped a 25-19 decision, which ended the War Hawks season.

In the afternoon session, McM toppled Bethel by scores of 25-15, 15-15, 25-23, 26-28 and 15-12.

Senior Peyton Evans (Riverton, Utah/Western Texas College) finished with 15 kills, 32 assists and 25 digs to complete the triple-double.

Sophomore Kayla Hines (Robinson, Texas/Robinson HS) chipped in 10 kills and 12 digs.

Senior Kasi Conners (Abilene, Texas/Abilene HS) helped out with nine kills and seven blocks 

In the morning session Lee got the best of McM and dropped the War Hawks 25-22, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-16.

Conners led the War Hawks with 14 kills and 11 block and hit a team-high .462.
