ABILENE, Texas -

A cold front will bring slightly cooler temperatures to the area Tuesday.

Before that, though, we have to get through one more day of warm weather.

Temperatures start on the mild side for your Monday, in the low 60s, before warming right back up into the upper 70s and low 80s.

We'll see clouds to start the day but those will dissipate through the morning hours, ending the afternoon with clear skies.

Winds stay breezy, between 15 and 25 mph, gusting to near 30 at times.

We're tracking a cold front that will make it through the area overnight on Monday and into your Tuesday morning, bringing cooler air to start your Tuesday.

Tuesday starts out in the upper 40s before struggling to make it into the low to mid 60s during the afternoon. Clear skies are expected throughout the day.

Lows Tuesday night will fall to near 40. Highs Wednesday will only make it into the mid to upper 60s.

We warm right back into the 70s by Thursday afternoon before dropping into the upper 40s that night.

Slight more cloud cover is expected for the end of the work week and that combination of cloud cover and north winds will keep highs limited in the upper 60s to near 70.

The forecast for next weekend is complicated. We're tracking a front that will stall north of the area Friday but it looks like rain chances stay away.

As of now, the weekend ahead looks mostly clear with highs in the low to mid 70s during the day, and lows in the upper 40s at night.
