Beneficial rainfall will continue through Wednesday night
The first major rain event of the new year will continue to bring beneficial rain to the Big Country through Wednesday night.
An upper level storm system southwest of the Big Country Wednesday morning is moving northeast across the area bringing rain chances to the region.
Rainfall totals will generally stay below 2 inches across the region with the largest totals in the Brownwood and Heartland areas.
Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 40s Wednesday with breezy northeast winds.
We keep it mostly cloudy Wednesday night with showers continuing and temps falling to around 40.
Most showers should have cleared out by daybreak Thursday with temperatures reaching into the mid 50s by the afternoon.
Friday will be quite warm as breezy south winds bring in warmer air and temps soar into the mid 60s to around 70.
