Strong winds and warm weather mean fire danger Monday but rain chances are on the way.

This afternoon look for highs climbing into the upper 80s and low 90s. We'll see a breezy south-southwest wind at 15 to 20 mph. The combination of heat and breezy winds mean an elevated fire danger this afternoon. Several of our western counties have Red Flag Warnings in effect through the afternoon.

Overnight, more strong winds from the southeast at 20 to 25 mph. Temperatures will fall into the mid 60s.

By Tuesday afternoon, we're into the mid 80s but changes are on the way. A cold front is set to move through during the late afternoon and early evening. Showers and storms will develop along the front and move through overnight.

By Wednesday morning, most of the activity is off to the east and we're under some much cooler air. We'll start Wednesday in the low 40s before warming into the low 60s by the afternoon.

Clear weather is ahead for the rest of the week. Thursday, things are on the chilly side with temps in the upper 30s. We'll jump back into the mid 60s by the p.m hours.

Friday, temps are into the mid 70s. By the weekend, look for plenty of sunshine and more 80 degree days.
