ABILENE, Texas -

Colder air moved back into Big Country Thursday.  This cooler air should filter into the rest of the Concho Valley and Heartland Thursday night and Friday.

A freeze is possible for areas north of I-20 for Friday morning with readings around 40 for locations around I-20.  Temperatures should fall into the upper 40s and lower 50s south of I-20.

High temperatures Friday should be in the 50s in the Big Country and in the lower 60s for the Heartland and Concho Valley.

Friday should be the coldest night with lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s.  Temperatures should rebound to near 60 Saturday afternoon as southeast winds return.  Mostly sunny skies are forecast to be with us Sunday afternoon and push temperatures back to around 70.

A disturbance out to our west is already sending lots of clouds into our region Thursday night.  Look for mostly cloudy skies for Friday, Saturday and early Sunday.

Rain chances are not looking very good for our area this weekend.  We could see showers return ahead of our next cold front early Tuesday morning.
