ABILENE, Texas -

Rainfall totals have topped an inch already in parts of the Big Country Wednesday morning and showers are expected to continue through the day.

Light showers started up across the Big Country on Tuesday and will continue through Wednesday night.

The best rainfall totals so far with this rain event have occurred in the Heartland where there is the most moisture available.

Here is a look at rainfall totals as of 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Abilene Regional .33" .... San Angelo .40" .... Dyess .12" ... Sweetwater .08" ... Brownwood 1.44" ... Eastland .86" ... Breckenridge .35" ... Coleman .68" ... Snyder .04" ... Albany .33" ... Robert Lee .11" ... Haskell .03"

We should see these totals continue to rise before the storm system we're tracking moves northeast of the region early Thursday morning.
