Light showers ending Monday morning
Light showers around early Monday morning will come to an end leaving the Big Country with pleasant weather for New Years Eve.
An upper level storm system pushing east past the Big Country dropped around one tenth of an inch of rain across most of the region Sunday night into early Monday.
After showers end skies are expected to clear Monday afternoon with temperatures warming into the upper 50s.
Winds will shift from the south to the west and remain quite breezy at 15-25 mph allowing drier air to move back into the region.
A cold front will move through the Big Country New Years Eve night but is not expected to bring wet weather.
Expect just a cloudy sky overnight with temps falling to around 30 with possibly some patchy fog forming.
It will be much cooler on New Years Day with temperatures remaining in the low 40s with north winds from 10-15 mph.
