New Year's Eve Rain
Showery skies should move through our region Sunday night through early Monday. By noon Monday, showers are forecast to be north and east of our region. One quarter to one half inch of rainfall will be possible.
Temperatures should remain above freezing, so this should be just a rain event. Lightning and thunder are even unlikely. However, drive with extra caution on the wet roads.
Temperatures should be in the upper 30s to lower 40s Monday morning. With some afternoon sunshine possible, we could see temperatures near 60 once again Monday afternoon.
We are tracking another cold front that should move in Monday night. This will bring back freezing temperatures and breezy north winds by Tuesday morning. However, no precipitation is expected with this front.
Look for chilly temperatures for the rest of the short work week. Lows should be in the low to middle 20s and highs in the middle to upper 40s for Tuesday through Friday.
Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies are expected Tuesday through Friday and upper level disturbances continue to move across our region. However, the forecast is dry from Monday afternoon through Friday.
