Since Thursday, the U.S. Geologic Survey reports that the O.H. Reservoir near Paint Rock, Texas has jumped 14.9 feet.
This is in response to impressive rainfall totals in and around the reservoir thanks to last week's storms.
Last week the reservoir was at 11% capacity but the recent increase has brought it up to more than 25%.
There are still large areas that aren't covered by water but today many residents from around the area came out to see the newly replenished water source.
Before the rain, cattle had been free to graze on the dried reservoir beds and many boat docks were closed.
Everyone we spoke with today seemed happy to see the increase and were anxious to get their fishing boats back into the water.
