Snow makes for a messy start South of I-20 Friday morning
The first winter storm of 2013 has dropped up to three inches of snow generally south of I-20 creating difficult driving conditions in spots.
An upper level storm system quickly pushed through West Texas overnight dropping anywhere from 1-3 inches of snow.
Around I-20 we saw generally less than 1 inch of snow, but further south around Brownwood and San Angelo we saw closer to 2-3 inches.
Tough travel conditions will be encountered through late morning in areas that did see the larger snowfall totals.
Light flurries will be possible through late morning, but no more accumulation is expected.
Cloudy skies will keep us at around 40 by this afternoon with possibly some peaks of sunshine by this afternoon.
Friday night will be partly cloudy with some patchy fog and mist possible with temps dropping to around 30.
It will be partly cloudy on Saturday with temps in the low 50s.
A cold front will move through on Saturday allowing Saturday night temps to dip down to the mid 20s.
Sunday will be sunny with highs around 50.
