ABILENE, Texas -

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for western Texas for Thursday and Thursday night.  Four to eight inches of snow will be possible to our west.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the western portions of the Concho Valley - the San Angelo area and nearby counties from 3 PM Thursday to 6 AM Friday.  Two to four inches of snow are possible for areas around and west of San Angelo.  One to three inches of snow are possible for areas east of San Angelo.

The Big Country and Heartland - including Abilene and Brownwood - could see around one inch of snowfall for late Thursday night until noontime Friday.

Bridges and overpasses could become icy and snow packed and travel problems are expected in our region late Thursday through Friday morning.

The precipitation should end during the day Friday.  Look for dry weather with afternoon temperatures back in the 50s for Saturday and Sunday.
