ABILENE, Texas -

A cold front will bring showers and storm chances to the area overnight tonight.

The cloudy skies and breezy winds will stay in place for a good bit of the evening until a cold front moves through.

We're tracking the chance for showers and thunderstorms this evening as a dryline moves through, before being replaced by a cold front.

We'll see cooler temps to start your Sunday with lows in the low 40s.

The showers will move out of the area during the early morning hours on Sunday, leaving drier air in its place.

Despite the cold front, we're still going to warm into the upper 60s.

Sunday night, we're cooling off into the mid 30s before warming into the mid 60s by Monday afternoon. Some clouds return Monday but we'll keep a good mix of clouds and sun in the forecast.

An upper level disturbance will near the area Monday night, bringing showers and storms back into the forecast. Tuesday morning starts out with temps in the low 40s.

We'll keep showers in the forecast throughout the day on Tuesday as the disturbance moves away. Look for highs, much cooler than Monday, in the mid 50s.

We'll clear out Tuesday night as high pressure builds into the area. Wednesday starts out on the chilly side with temps in the low 30s before warming into the mid to upper 50s.

Thursday, sunshine stays in the forecast with highs in the upper 30s. Temps by the afternoon are back above normal, in the mid 60s.

A cold front will drop south into the region Thursday night making for a much chillier end to the work week.

Friday starts out around freezing before we warm into the low 50s. We'll keep partly to mostly cloudy skies in the forecast with highs in the mid 60s by Saturday afternoon.
