ABILENE, Texas -

A stationary front near I-10 and a fast moving upper level disturbance should help to spark showers and thunderstorms over our region early Saturday morning.  Stronger thunderstorms could produce some hail.  Also, watch out for dangerous lightning.

This area of showers and storms is forecast to be east of us well before noon Saturday.  Strong west winds will bring a big warmup for Saturday afternoon.  Look for high temperatures around 80.

Red Flag Warnings are in effect for much of the Big Country and Concho Valley for Saturday.  West to northwest winds at 20-30 mph with higher gusts are expected.  Do NOT conduct any outdoor burning.

A strong cold front should blow back in Saturday evening.  Watch out for strong north winds at 20-30 mph Saturday night.  Freezing temperatures will be possible for Sunday morning.

Expect freezing low temperatures for Monday and Tuesday mornings.
