ABILENE, Texas -

Warm weather is here to stay through midweek before a cold front knocks the temps back down.

Sunday morning, look for temps in the low 60s with partly cloudy skies. South winds are expected between 10 and 20 mph throughout the day. We'll warm into the upper 80s.

An elevated fire danger will be seen over much of the region Sunday afternoon thanks to warm weather, dry conditions, and breezy winds.

Overnight, temps fall into the low 60s. Partly cloudy skies are in store Monday with temps warming into the mid to upper 80s.

As the dryline moves east into the Big Country, we could see an afternoon shower or thunderstorm but most of the area will stay dry.

Tuesday morning temperatures begin in the mid 60s before warming into the mid 80s. We're tracking a cold front that will move through during the evening on Tuesday. As it nears the area, a dryline will precede it, bringing the chance for showers and storms. A cold front is set to move through behind it and prolong the rain chances through Wednesday morning.

Behind the front look for cooler temps. We'll start Wednesday around 50 degrees before warming only into the mid 60s.

After beginning in the low 40s Thursday, look for a warming trend continuing into the weekend. By Saturday, highs will be back near 80.
