Tracking colder air for Sunday
We are tracking a cold front that should move in early Sunday. Until it arrives, we will continue with well above normal temperatures and strong south winds into Saturday evening. Watch out for steady winds of 20 to 30 mph.
The low Saturday morning is forecast to be in the lower 60s and the high temperature Saturday afternoon should be in the lower 80s. Colder air should blow back into our region early Sunday morning.
That cold front should bring scattered showers and thundershowers to our region Saturday night into Sunday morning. Rain should be east of our area by noon Sunday. Look for clearing skies and chilly northwest winds for Sunday afternoon.
It is possible that a light freeze will occur in the Big Country Monday morning. Look for lows in the low to middle 30s. It is expected to be sunny Monday, but highs should only climb into the upper 50s.
A killing freeze likely for Tuesday morning over pretty much our entire area as temperatures should fall into the upper 20s.
Mostly fair skies and SLOWLY warming temperatures are forecast for Wednesday through Friday.
