ABILENE, Texas -

We'll warm into the low 70s Sunday but we're tracking a cold front that will bring changes.

This evening, look for clear skies with temperatures falling into the upper 30s. South winds will be on the rise, blowing in at 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday, we're tracking sunshine and warm temperatures as we warm into the low 70s. South winds will be on the breezy side, between 15 and 25 mph, gusting to 30 at times.

There is an elevated fire danger thanks to dry air and gusty winds. While several counties in our area aren't under burn bans, outdoor burns should be postponed until the winds die down.

Overnight, clouds roll in from the south ahead of our next cold front. We'll fall into the low 50s with continued south winds at 15 to 25.

Monday, we're tracking a cold front that will push through throughout the day. Despite the front, temperatures don't drop much. We'll see highs warm into the mid to upper 60s. Any rain chances with this front will stay well to the east of our area.

Overnight on Monday, you'll be able to feel the cold front. We'll cool down to around 33 degrees under mostly clear skies.

Tuesday, highs are right where they should be for this time of year, around 61 degrees.

More clouds are set to move in Tuesday night as southerly flow returns to the Big Country.

Wednesday starts out around 40 degrees.

Throughout the day on Wednesday we're tracking a good chance for showers and thundershowers along with the moisture from the south. We'll warm into the low 60s with a southeast wind at 15 to 20 mph.

Wednesday, a cold front is set to push through bringing at 50% chance of thunderstorms and showers. We'll cool to around 45 with that front expected to be through the area by Thursday morning.

Behind the front, look for clear skies on Thursday with highs in the low 60s. West winds will be on the breezy side at 15 to 20 mph. Overnight, look for clear skies with lows in the low 40s.

For the end of the work week we'll see highs in the mid to upper 60s under sunny skies. A starry night is expected with temps cooling into the mid 40s.

Next weekend looks pretty nice with highs around 70. Clouds look to increase during the afternoon.
