ABILENE, Texas -

We're tracking a chilly night Sunday as lows fall into the mid to upper 30s under clear skies.

For the start of your work week, look for warmer temperatures as highs climb to around 70 degrees in the afternoon. The clear skies continue with south winds between 5 and 10 mph. Monday night lows will drop down into the mid 40s.

The quiet weather pattern continues through the week and we'll see a considerable warm up. Tuesday we'll see a few high clouds but no rain. Highs will climb into the mid 70s during the day before falling into the upper 40s at night

The Halloween forecast is anything but scary with highs around 80 degrees. We're tracking perfect trick-or-treating weather under clear skies with winds from the southwest around 10 mph. Early in the evening temperatures will be in the upper 60s and low 70s before bottoming out around the low 50s later on.

We continue the warming trend into the end of the work week with highs both Thursday and Friday in the low to mid 80s. Mild nights expected with lows in the mid 50s.

Changes are in the forecast by the end of the week though as cloud cover increases Friday ahead of our next disturbance.

We're tracking an upper level area of low pressure that will begin to push into the area next weekend. This will bring with it a 20% chance of showers and storms Saturday and Sunday.

The disturbance will send a weak cold front through the area during the early morning hours on Sunday cooling highs down into the upper 60s.
