Tracking weekend thunderstorm chances
It is expected to be a partly cloudy, warm and dry for the day Friday. However, we could see thunderstorms Friday evening - especially the Big Country.
The dryline to our west could spark thunderstorms that would move into our western counties Friday evening. An upper level disturbance is also expected to move in Friday evening and help trigger Friday evening thunderstorms for mainly the Big County.
Generally partly cloudy skies are forecast for Saturday with warm temperatures. We have just a slight chance of scattered, late afternoon thunderstorms for Saturday.
We are tracking a cold front that should move early Sunday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to accompany this front into our region for Sunday morning. The showers and thunderstorms are expected to move south of our region for Sunday afternoon.
A strong cold front is expected to blow in Monday afternoon and bring back below normal temperatures by Tuesday. There is even a chance of a freeze for northern portions of the Big Country Tuesday morning.
