ABILENE, Texas -

We will start out Tuesday with a hard freeze.  Look for sunrise temperatures in the middle to upper 20s.

Fair skies and increasing south winds back up to 20 mph by afternoon should push high temperatures Tuesday into the lower 60s.

We should keep those breezy south winds at 15-20 mph Tuesday night.  So, look for above freezing temperatures Wednesday morning with lows mainly in the lower 40s.

Breezy southwest winds at 20-25 mph will bring even warmer air back in for Wednesday afternoon.  High temperatures should be in the lower 70s.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Thursday with afternoon temperatures around 70.

Unsettled weather is forecast for Thursday through Sunday.  We could see thunderstorms form on the dryline Thursday and Friday afternoons that may move east into our region Thursday and Friday evenings.

A stalled cold front is expected to be near the Red River Saturday and Sunday.  This feature could trigger late day thunderstorms for Saturday and possibly Sunday.

Temperatures should be warm over our region for the weekend with highs around 80 both Saturday and Sunday.
