ABILENE, Texas -

Friday morning is starting off quite cool once again across West Central Texas. Temperatures have dropped back into the lower 40s for most of us.

Some sunshine will get through high cloudiness during the morning hours but we will build thicker cloud cover heading into the afternoon.

A disturbance located over northern Mexico may bring us a scattered sprinkle or shower later on Friday especially in our southern rows of counties.

Southerly winds at 15-20mph will begin to crank as we move through the day. Highs look to make it into the middle 60s.

Tonight we maintain a variably cloudy sky into the overnight with lows in the middle to upper 40s. Winds will continue at 10-20mph from the south.

Saturday breaks out some sunshine by the afternoon hours and temperatures warm significantly into the lower 70s.

Sunday and Monday we are forecasting partly cloudy skies with highs again into the lower 70s.

A strong cold front should approach early on Tuesday and have temperatures falling through the 50s as the day unfolds.
