ABILENE, Texas -

Showers were as close as Junction Wednesday evening, before dissipating.  This weak disturbance that is carrying Gulf of Mexico high humidity air should be closer to the Concho Valley Thursday.

We are forecasting scattered late afternoon and evening thundershowers in the Concho Valley for Thursday afternoon and evening.  Watch out for lightning and locally heavy rainfall.

This disturbance is forecast to be in our western areas Friday.  It should then move back east across our region Saturday.  Look for mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible for both Friday and Saturday over our entire area.

Dry weather is expected to return for Sunday as the disturbance should be well east of us.

Afternoon temperatures should be back into the middle 90s Thursday, but only around 90 Friday and Saturday.
