ABILENE, Texas -

Saturday churned out our 4th straight day of near 100 degree heat and it looks as though we still have several days of hot weather to get through before any real relief helps us out.

Sunday is forecast to be a mostly sunny day with a high temperature of near 100 degrees yet again. Not expecting any rainfall to occur on Sunday and not expecting much in the way of cloud production either. A ridge of high pressure remains in firm control over Texas and is the reason for our hot and dry conditions to continue into the work week.

Monday shapes up to be a continuation of the weather we saw on our weekend with high temperatures taking aim at 100 degrees. Mostly sunny skies are expected with breezy winds gusting to 15-20 mph at times. No rainfall is expected.

Tuesday and Wednesday appear to be our hottest days with temperatures touching the low 100s in most areas. Mostly sunny skies are expected to dominate.

As we move into Thursday and beyond, a couple models are hinting at a frontal boundary that may want to move south into Texas possibly nearing the Big Country. If this happens we will see a pullback in temperatures closer to normal with a chance of clusters of thundershowers nearby during that time frame. We will watch this and update the forecast as we go along.
