ABILENE, Texas -

Temperatures topped out just shy of 100 Tuesday afternoon.  Look for high temperatures in the upper 90s again Wednesday and Thursday.

Afternoon temperatures are forecast to be in the middle 90s for Friday and the weekend.

We tracked afternoon thundershowers in the southern portions of the Heartland Tuesday.  Afternoon thundershowers are expected around the I-10 corridor for Wednesday.

We are tracking a couple of disturbances moving westward towards the lower Texas coast.  These systems look to pass just south of our region - keeping most of our area dry through the weekend.

The cooler air is expected to remain north of our region for several more days.   So, we look for more very warm afternoons with  temperatures in the 90s.
