ABILENE, Texas -

We are tracking very cold air moving south into our region Wednesday night.  Most of the Big Country should see temperatures drop into the upper 20s before noon Thursday.

Then, temperatures are forecast to remain in the upper 20s for the afternoon.  Wind chill values will be in the teens.  Wear your gloves and a hat.

Cloudy skies are expected for Thursday and Thursday night.  Snow flurries are possible in our area, but no significant accumulations are expected.

Temperatures should be even colder Thursday night with lows Friday morning in the 10 to 15 degree range.  Protect your plumbing.

Sunshine and southwest winds should be back with us Friday.  Afternoon temperatures are expected to rise into the lower to middle 40s.

Look forward to fair skies Saturday with high temperatures in the 60s.  Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Sunday with high temperatures near 70.

Another surge of fairly cold air is likely to move in Sunday night.  High temperatures Monday should be in the 40s.
