ABILENE, Texas -

We are tracking a cold front that will move through the region Tuesday.  At the same time, abundant moisture is streaming over our region from a tropical system near the Mexican Baja.

Heavy rainfall is likely from showery skies for most of Tuesday.  Do NOT drive through any flooded roads.  Many locations could see over one inch of rainfall Tuesday and Tuesday evening.

Temperatures should fall during the day Tuesday as strong north winds bring in colder air.  Temperatures may start out in the low to middle 60s at sunrise, but readings should be around 50 by 5 PM Tuesday afternoon.  Low temperatures Wednesday morning are expected to drop into the middle 40s.

Rain should move southeast out of our area probably before sunrise Wednesday.  However, clouds should linger Wednesday with highs only in the 50s.  Look for lows Thursday morning in the lower 40s.

Sunshine is forecast for Thursday and afternoon temperatures should be back up near 70 Thursday afternoon.
