ABILENE, Texas -

Dry air, fair skies and light winds will allow large swings in our daily temperatures through Wednesday.

A chilly start for Tuesday morning with a light freeze or frost expected.  Sunny skies should push temperatures back up into the middle to upper 60s Tuesday afternoon.

South winds and a few clouds should keep low temperatures in the upper 30s Wednesday morning.  Look for mostly sunny skies Wednesday with highs near 70.  Watch out for strong south winds around 20 mph.

The strong south winds will keep temperatures mild Wednesday night with lows Thursday morning around 50.  Morning clouds Thursday should give way to partly cloudy skies Thursday afternoon.  High temperatures should reach the lower 70s.

A cold front is forecast to move through our region during the day Friday.  High temperatures should only reach the 50s Friday.

An upper level low is forecast to move in Saturday and bring showers to our region.  We are forecasting temperatures to be above freezing when the rain is here.

Showers are expected to be east of our area Sunday.  Fair skies are likely for Monday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
