ABILENE, Texas -

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 6 PM Saturday until 6 AM Monday.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 PM Saturday.

We are tracking an upper level low pressure area that should move into region late Saturday.  It is forecast to bring heavier amounts of wintry precipitation to our area Saturday night into Monday.

Light freezing rain or sleet is expected for Saturday morning.  Watch out for icy bridges and overpasses.

Temperatures may briefly climb above freezing Saturday afternoon.  But freezing temperatures will be found over our region Saturday night into midday Monday.

Heavy snow or sleet will be possible Saturday night and Sunday in areas around and north of I-20.  Watch out for significant amounts of sleet or freezing rain for areas mainly south of I-20 for Saturday night and Sunday.

If this weather system behaves as forecast, we will likely see significant travel problems in our region Saturday Night into Monday.
