Strong cold front to bring big Sunday cool down
Highs will be reached early Sunday morning as a strong cold front sweeps in.
Ahead of the front we're tracking an increase in cloud cover with morning temps in the mid 30s. Patchy fog is likely along with light morning drizzle.
We'll warm up a few degrees before the front with official highs in the upper 30s and low 40s. Behind the front we'll cool steadily through the afternoon with temperatures in the low 30s by 5 p.m.
Mostly cloudy skies will stay in place with a north wind at 15 to 25 mph. Into the evening hours it'll be frigid with lows around 20 and wind chills in the teens.
Monday we'll see more sunshine with highs warming modestly into the mid 40s.
New Year's Eve will start with sunny skies and lows in the mid 20s. Highs by the afternoon will rebound nicely, into the upper 50s and low 60s.
New Year's Day brings more sunshine with highs in the upper 50s. Our next cold front will move in Wednesday afternoon.
Through the end of the week we'll see high pressure. Thursday highs will warm to 50 degrees with our next warming trend carrying us into the upper 50s by Saturday afternoon.
