Today we get back to sunny and a bit warmer weather across the Big Country. Temperatures are expected to surpass 70 degrees in many locations this afternoon. Winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph.
Tonight mostly fair skies will be in charge as we head into the overnight. Clouds are expected to increase as we head toward Friday morning. Lows will be near 50 degrees.
A new cold front will approach from the north on Friday bringing back a chance for scattered showers and an isolated thundershower to West Central Texas. Highs look to remain on the cool side in the mid to upper 60s with added cloud cover from the approaching weather system.
The weekend continues to look picture perfect as dry air comes into the area late on Friday night in the wake of the cold front. Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast on Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s on Saturday and will warm into the lower 70s on Sunday.
Heading into early next week, generally quiet weather should continue with temperatures in the lower to mid 70s.
