The hottest temps are still to come for the week ahead.
Monday, we're tracking temperatures around the century mark by the afternoon under sunny skies. A bit of relief will come with the south winds as they blow in at 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight, clear skies continue with temperatures cooling down into the upper 70s.
We're tracking warmer temperatures, still, for Tuesday with highs around 102. Things will be a bit breezier with south winds at 15 to 20 mph. Overnight lows will cool into the upper 70s under clear skies.
The warmest day in the forecast will be Wednesday as highs warm up to the 102 to 104 degree range.
We'll bring in rain chances Wednesday night as a cold front approaches the region. This cold front will stall out before it arrives but we're tracking a 20% chance of rain after midnight.
The rain chances will persist into Thursday with another round of rain expected to develop Thursday afternoon. Highs will warm to 100 degrees.
Rain chances are on the decline Thursday night and into Friday morning. We'll keep partly cloudy skies going into Friday with highs around 99.
Into the weekend ahead, we're tracking a bit more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. This will help bring in more cloud cover with highs Saturday and Sunday in the mid to upper 90s.
