Showers will continue on and off Monday with a very cool afternoon.
An area of low pressure will move west through Texas today bringing thundershowers and cooler temperatures to the area. Afternoon highs will make it into the low 70s under cloudy skies.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for much of the area through the evening hours. A lull in rainfall is likely through the afternoon hours but as rain chances increase later today, flash flooding could become an issue.
Overnight we're tracking the showers and storms continuing as the low pressure center moves over the region. Plentiful moisture will be present, helping those showers along. Lows will cool into the upper 60s.
Tuesday, look for scattered showers and storms with highs around 80 degrees. Overnight we'll keep things cloudy with nighttime temps cooling into the upper 60s.
Wednesday the area of low pressure will be moving into the New Mexico but as moisture continues to filter in from the Gulf of Mexico, we'll keep rain chances in the forecast. Highs will warm into the mid 80s. Overnight we'll see cloudy skies with temps cooling to around 70 degrees.
Thursday, afternoon showers and storms are possible but many will only see partly cloudy skies. Highs will warm into the upper 80s and low 90s.
Drier weather is on tap by Friday with mostly sunny skies and highs in low 90s. We'll keep the clear skies and low 90s in the forecast through the weekend ahead.
