ABILENE, Texask -

A weak cold front is forecast to move farther south into our region Wednesday.  Showers and thunderstorms could form near where the winds shift to the north.

The better chances of thunderstorms should be in the afternoon and evening hours.  Watch out for lighting and locally heavy rainfall as any storms should be slow-movers.

Don't look for much a reduction in temperatures.  Wednesday afternoon readings should be back in the middle 90s in the Big Country and near 100 in the Concho Valley and Heartland.

Wednesday night temperatures could be a couple of degrees milder as slightly drier air moves in.

Any mild air should be back north of our area by Thursday afternoon.  Look for temperatures near 100 over our region Thursday and Friday.
