ABILENE, Texas -

Showers and storms are likely Saturday morning as a strong cold front moves through. Temperatures behind the front will be about 20 degrees cooler.

Shower chances continue through about lunch time Saturday.

Look for breezy winds from the north at 15 to 25 mph. Highs will warm into the upper 60s by the afternoon.

Clear skies and calmer winds will allow things to cool down in a hurry Saturday night. Lows will cool into the upper 40s.

Sunday, look for sunny skies with highs in the mid 70s.

Monday morning will begin in the upper 40s and low 50s before warming up to around 80 by the afternoon.

Dry weather will continue as high pressure builds back in. A warming trend will have highs in the mid 80s Tuesday through Friday.

Nighttime lows will cool into the mid to upper 50s through much of the week ahead.

Friday, we're tracking another slight chance for some showers as another cold front nears the area.
