ABILENE, Texas -

We'll see a mix of clouds and sun Wednesday with temperatures warming into the mid 50s.

Breezy southwest winds will continue to blow in at 15 to 20 mph through much of the day before backing off later this afternoon.

Into the evening hours we'll see a cold front move in. This front will clear skies briefly before clouds return before sunrise. Lows will fall into the mid 20s.

Thursday, look for mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 40s.

Overnight Thursday we'll see our first rain chances of the year. Lows will cool into the mid 40s with a 50% chance for showers toward daybreak Friday.

The area of low pressure that will bring in the rain chances will continue to stick with us. This will bring rain chances in at 60% throughout the day Friday.

The rain will be mostly showers but a stray thunderstorm is possible. This will be a warm rain with highs around 60 degrees.

Overnight a cold front will send the showers away with clearing skies and lows in the upper 30s.

The weekend ahead will be sunny and mild with highs Saturday in the mid 50s.

Sunday we'll see morning temps in the mid 30s with afternoon temps warming into the low 30s.

The sunshine sticks with us into the start of next week.

Monday we'll see a bit of a cool down behind a cold front. Highs will warm into the upper 50s afternoon a morning low in the upper 30s.

Tuesday, another late-day front moves in. Highs will warm into the mid 50s under sunny skies.
