ABILENE, Texas -

We tracked thundershowers moving southwest through portions of our region Thursday afternoon and evening.  The showers faded with the setting sun.

A weak wind shift boundary should continue in our region for Friday and Saturday - helping to trigger afternoon and early evening thundershowers.  Brief, heavy downpours, gusty winds and lightning will be the main dangers.

Even with shower chances, it will still be hot with highs around 100 for Friday and Saturday.

A stronger disturbance is expected to move into our region Sunday and bring better chances of thundershowers and more cloudiness for Sunday and Monday.

Temperatures should be closer to normal Sunday and early next week with highs in the middle 90s.
