ABILENE, Texas -

We're tracking unseasonably cool weather for the start of the month.

Monday morning, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with a few scattered light showers. These showers will dissipate through the morning with a bit more sunshine by this afternoon. We're tracking highs today in the upper 80s with north winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Overnight we're cooling into the low 60s with mostly clear skies.

The highs continue in the upper 80s through the middle of the week. Look for cooler starts to the day as well with temperatures in the low 60s.

We're tracking a disturbance that will drop into the region Wednesday night, bringing slight rain chances to the forecast. While the brunt of the activity looks to stay to our west, we're looking at the chance for scattered showers in our area as we head into the morning hours on the 4th of July.

Thursday we're tracking mostly clear skies by the afternoon with temps in the low 90s.

Highs will stay in the low to mid 90s through next weekend with sunshine. There is a slight chance for showers Sunday as an area of low pressure develops over the state.
