ABILENE, Texas -

We'll see unseasonably hot weather for the next few days but changes will be here by Labor Day.

Temperatures this evening will cool into the low 70s under clear skies.

Saturday afternoon highs will warm into the upper 90s and low triple digits with mostly clear skies and southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday begins in the mid 70s under clear skies. Throughout the day a cold front will near the area from the north. This front won't move in until the overnight hours but during the afternoon, scattered showers will be possible. Highs will still make it to around 99 degrees.

Shower chances will continue overnight as the front slowly moves in. We'll see a 20% chance for rain with temps in the low 70s.

Labor Day, look for highs in the mid 90s with a 20% chance for showers and storms. Highs will be a bit cooler, in the low to mid 90s.  Things will start to clear up, as far as rain chances go, overnight.

We'll start your Tuesday around 70 degrees before warming to the low 90s in the afternoon.

We'll keep a good mix of clouds and sun through the end of next week. Highs will warm into the mid 90s during the day and cool into the low to mid 70s overnight.
