ABILENE, Texas -

An upper level disturbance will bring rain chances back to the forecast by Tuesday. In the meantime the system will sit over Mexico, leaving us with beautiful weather for Monday.

By Monday morning we'll see temperatures in the upper 50s under mostly clear skies. Temperatures by the afternoon will climb into the mid to upper 80s. Southeast winds will blow in through the day at 10 to 15 mph.

Temperatures Monday night will cool to around 60. Clouds will roll in during the day as that storm system moves into the state. During the late afternoon and early evening Tuesday, showers and storms will develop. Things will quiet down after midnight.

Wednesday starts out in the mid 60s. More sunshine is on tap Wednesday, allowing highs to warm to around 90 degrees. Rain chances return during the afternoon as the dryline approaches the region.

Mostly cloudy skies greet us on Thursday with temperatures in the upper 60s. Highs are back into the upper 80s and low 90s with another chance for an afternoon shower or storm. Temperatures will cool into the upper 60s once again overnight.

Friday highs will climb to around 90 under partly cloudy skies. Clouds return overnight with lows cooling into the low 70s.

Heading into the weekend, we'll keep things dry. Highs will top out in the low 90s through Sunday as nighttime temperatures cool to the upper 60s and low 70s.
