ABILENE, Texas -

Strong and severe storms rolled through the Big Country Thursday night with tornadoes even touching down around Rotan. Showers and storms will continue to move south and east tonight with some still lingering for Friday morning. Look for temps to cool to the upper 60s.

Tomorrow, we're tracking another round of rain chances with highs warming into the upper 80s. Southeast winds will continue at 10 to 20 mph. Friday night we'll see partly cloudy skies with temps dropping into the upper 60s.

Heading into the weekend we'll continue to see rain chances, especially Saturday. After the morning starts out around 70, we'll warm to near 90 by the afternoon. A 20% chance for showers and storms will come about during the afternoon.

Some drying is in store for Sunday with temperatures warming into the upper 80s. Winds are still on the breezy side, at 15 to 25 mph.

Memorial Day, we'll see partly cloudy skies with just a slight chance for a shower or storm as a distubance moves across the area. We'll top out around the low 90s. We'll cool into the low 70s, just in time to head back to work.

We're warming up into the low 90s by Tuesday afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s by Wednesday.
