ABILENE, Texas -

The upper level low pressure system that moved into our region Sunday should still be close enough to our area to keep lots of clouds and showery skies for Tuesday.  Watch out for locally heavy rainfall that could cause flash flooding.

The heavier rain areas are forecast to be more west of our region Wednesday.   We should see some breaks in the clouds Wednesday with mainly afternoon thundershowers.

Partly cloudy skies are expected for Thursday with more isolated afternoon thundershowers possible.

Generally dry weather is forecast for Friday through Sunday with more typical July temperatures.

Look for highs in the upper 70s Tuesday and the middle 80s Thursday.  We should be back up around 90 on Thursday.  Afternoon readings should be back in the middle 90s for the weekend.
