ABILENE, Texas -

We tracked a severe thunderstorm Wednesday evening that brought golf ball to baseball size hail to a zone from just north of Rotan to Hamlin to Anson.

That storm is long gone, but more showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop in the Concho Valley before sunrise Thursday morning and spread eastward.  Watch out for lightning and possible small hail with the storms.

A cold front is forecast to move into the Big Country Thursday evening.  This should bring back a good chance of strong to severe thunderstorms for most of our area for Thursday night.   Large hail and damaging winds are the main dangers.

Showers are forecast to linger Friday - especially south of I-20.  Decreasing clouds are expected for Saturday with partly cloudy skies for Sunday.

Afternoon temperatures should be in the 80s again Thursday, but in the 70s for Friday through Sunday.  Morning lows should be in the 50s Saturday and Sunday.
