Tracking slight storm chances Thursday
Most of the wet weather is off to our west but thunderstorms are in the forecast for this afternoon.
Heavy rain is pushing west into New Mexico today but as plentiful moisture filters in from the Gulf of Mexico, we could see more storms this afternoon. Highs will warm into the upper 80s with a bit more sunshine.
Overnight, any storms that develop will dissipate, leaving behind mostly fair skies. Temperatures will cool down to around 70 degrees.
Friday, we'll kick off a dry and warm pattern. Highs will warm into the low 90s under sunny skies.
Saturday will start out in the low 70s but with sunshine in place through the afternoon, it'll be the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy a much greener landscape. Highs Saturday will warm into the low 90s.
The sunny skies and warm temps will stay with us as we head into the end of the weekend and even the middle of next week. We're tracking a modest warm up with highs in the mid to upper 90s by next Wednesday.
Overnight, lows will cool into the low to mid 70s.
