ABILENE, Texas -

The deadly storm system we've been tracking the past few days has finally moved out of our region.  Enjoy quiet weather Wednesday.

We are already tracking a cold front that is forecast to move into the Texas Panhandle and Red River area Thursday evening.  Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop on this front and move south into the Big County Thursday evening.

The front is forecast to stall around I-20 Friday.  This boundary should help trigger showers and thunderstorms for our region Friday afternoon and evening.

This front is expected to move northward out of our area Saturday morning.  Just a slight chance of late day dryline storms are expected for mainly our western areas for Saturday through Memorial Day.

Enjoy temperatures in the upper 50s Wednesday night.  Wednesday afternoon high temperatures should be back up around 90.   Afternoon readings should be in the lower 90s Thursday and in the 80s on Friday.
