ABILENE, Texas -

Scattered showers or thundershowers are expected in our region again for Saturday.  Rain chances will start out at 40% for the morning and lower to 30% for the afternoon.  Locally heavy rainfall and dangerous cloud to ground lightning are the main dangers.

Dry conditions are expected for Saturday night.  Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Sunday with just a slight chance of an afternoon thundershower.

We are expecting thunderstorms to develop in the Panhandle Sunday evening.  A few weakening thunderstorms could move into our NW areas Sunday night.

A cold front is forecast to move to the Red River Monday afternoon.  This should send a band of thunderstorms south into our region Monday afternoon and Monday evening.

A wind shift boundary should be over our area Tuesday and help trigger more showers and thunderstorms for Tuesday and Tuesday evening.

Dry weather is forecast to be back with us for Wednesday through Friday.
